Our Story

We first met while studying law at university. As our careers began, they took different paths—Jayne ventured into human resources while Nickie pursued legal practice. Eight years later, fate intervened through a mutual connection, and we reunited as if no time had passed.

Our professional chemistry was undeniable. After staying in touch for three years, Jayne joined Nickie's team as a freelance HR Consultant. Following a brief hiatus to start a family and work closer to home, Jayne returned in 2015 as a Senior HR Consultant before becoming a Director in 2019.

Nickie Elenor

As Guardian Law and Guardian People Management's  founder, I work predominantly behind the scenes, empowering business leaders to navigate their most challenging people issues with confidence and control.
I'm the calm presence who transforms HR nightmares into manageable situations, ensuring you maintain your employer brand and personal wellbeing when employee relationships become difficult.
As a business owner and employer, I understand that while managing people is crucial, it's often secondary to your core business operations. This dual perspective enables me to provide both legally sound and commercially practical solutions.
Some clients engage my services after crisis has struck, requiring swift damage limitation while preserving dignity and business continuity. However, my preference is working proactively with forward-thinking leaders to prevent disputes entirely through smart people management strategies, avoiding the stress and expense of lengthy conflicts.
Whether you need crisis intervention or strategic planning, I'm here to guide you through your current challenge with expertise and understanding.
Nickie  focuses on assisting leaders in creating business-focused people strategies,
project   management   and   navigating   complex   workplace   challenges,   including
dismissals, restructures, and sensitive exit conversations. She has been a solicitor
since 2002.


Jayne Dunn

Jayne is the Managing Director of Guardian People Management. She specialises in
mentoring   HR   professionals   and   providing   training   and   coaching   to   people
managers, helping them to understand enough about HR to engage with and lead
their teams more constructively – and tackle issues at grass root level to avoid
unnecessary escalation.
